Amendments to Appendix A1

Appendix A1 has been amended to clarify:

• the requirements in relation to cavity stops where partial fill insulation is placed within the cavity of external (flanking) walls.
• the alternative arrangement for the inclusion of flue blocks in masonry walls
• the arrangement of spandrel panels in small voids above room in roof situations (where spandrel panels are permitted in the detail)
• additional thermal insulation provision for room in roof situations with masonry separating walls
• an alternative arrangement where pre cast concrete plank separating floors bear on the top flange of intermediate supporting steel beams

Recent purchasers of the printed Robust Details handbook and those that subscribe to receive updates will automatically receive a copy of these updates. Should you have a printed copy of the Handbook and wish to subscribe to receive these updates please complete and return a Handbook update form.
