Protocol
This protocol is one of the Key Protocols of the RDL Scheme. It provides a method of entry for separating wall or floor structures to be assessed and, if successful, approved as a new Robust Detail. The purpose of the protocol is to:
- State the method of entry and assessment of potential new Robust Details known as Candidate Robust Details (CRDs)
- Approve those CRDs which meet agreed performance standards and which are suitably robust
- Prepare the information required for the technical specifications and checklists of successful CRDs in co-operation with the proposer of the CRD.
The protocol also includes the relevant applications forms.
