Plot Registrations
You can use Robust Details as an alternative to pre-completion sound insulation testing in order to satisfy Requirement E1 in Schedule 1 of the Building Regulations (England & Wales) provided you do the following:
- register each dwelling (plot) with Robust Details Limited stating the Robust Details you propose to use before you start work.
- give a copy of the Certificate (Purchase Statement), which we will provide you with, to your building control authority.
- build exactly in accordance with the Robust Details corresponding specification(s).
When we provide you with the Certificate (Purchase Statement), we are in effect certifying that stated Robust Detail separating walls and floors built in stated dwellings (plots) are capable of being used as an alternative to pre-completion sound testing (PCT) to demonstrate compliance with Requirement E1 in Schedule 1 of the Building Regulations (England and Wales)
