We are continuing to enhance existing Robust Details to improve performance so that more choices are available for those seeking higher EcoHomes or Code For Sustainable Homes credits.
We have already published a number of 3-credit options for loadbearing masonry walls as a result of this process.
Further research in conjunction with Edinburgh Napier University is being undertaken in preparation for changes to other Regulations and standards, such as Part L of the Building Regulations.
RDL has also participated in a number of other research projects. This includes a project in partnership with the Association of Noise Consultants (ANC) and the Building Research Establishment (BRE) that investigated the issue of measurement uncertainty in sound insulation testing in the field.
