Purpose of Performance Monitoring
The success of the RD scheme relies on the consistent high performance of individual RDs as used in the field. As such, RDL has established a rigorous performance monitoring programme that not only includes sound tests of a sample of completed RD-registered properties, but also visual inspections of dwellings under construction.
The dual purpose of these activities is to check RD requirements are being met, as well as to ensure they continue to provide the required performance levels.
In order to ensure the robustness and credibility of the overall RD scheme, any detail which continues to underperform may be removed from the scheme.
