Plot Registration Guidance

1) Check that Robust Details will meet your requirements and before placing your order ensure that:

  • You are familiar with the Part E Robust Details Scheme - you can do this by reading the other parts of this website
  • The proposed dwellings are to be built in England or Wales
  • The proposed dwellings are to be COMPLETELY NEW, ATTACHED dwellings
  • You have purchased a copy of the Robust Details Handbook to identify and select Robust Details that meet your needs - we recommend that you do this with your designer if you are not designing the dwellings yourself.

2) Download a Registration Form or contact us and we will send you a copy then complete the form taking account the following:

  • To prevent delays in registration please ensure ALL boxes contain information. If for example, the 'Main Contact' is also the 'Builder', then please enter 'AS MAIN CONTACT' in the 'Builder Contact Details' box
  • Please write clearly
  • Where your dwellings include a separating floor (ie flats, maisonettes) it is essential that you refer to the introduction of the Robust Details Handbook where you will find guidance tables showing valid combinations
  • List all plots on page two of the Registration Form along with the Robust Detail types you wish to use - you may group consecutive plots if they are of the same house type and you select the same Robust Detail types (as in the example shown below)
  • Ensure you have read and understand the Terms & Conditions
  • Enclose your cheque payment including VAT with your order or provide credit /debit card details according to your preferred method of payment. Please note that a standard fixed fee per plot is payable (with your order) irrespective of whether the dwelling is to be a house, bungalow, flat or maisonette; and irrespective of how many Robust Details are used in each plot.
