How do I use Robust Details?
To build or design to Robust Details:
- Select the walls and / or floors that suit your needs from the Robust Details Handbook. If you are using either the Code for Sustainable Homes or EcoHomes check the credit entitlements in the appropriate schedule
- Remember to consult the combination tables in the Handbook if you're building apartments
- Register each plot and its associated RD(s) that you plan to build and we will produce a Certificate which shows a unique registration number for each plot.
- Give the Certificate (Purchase Statement) to your building control authority before starting work
- Build exactly in accordance with the registered specifications published in the Robust Details Handbook. Each Robust Detail has its own Checklist designed to help everyone in the design and building process to do this
