About the Scheme
The purpose of our Part E Robust Details Scheme is to certify that the published RD type separating walls and floors built in stated dwellings (plots) are capable of being used as an alternative to pre-completion sound testing (PCT) to demonstrate compliance with Requirement E1 in Schedule 1 of the Building Regulations (England and Wales).
Robust Details are also recognised as ways of achieving credits under the Code for Sustainable Homes and EcoHomes.
